How to order your menu sections so guests decide faster

Section order is not decoration. Guests decide in the first 20 seconds, and the right order cuts hesitation and lifts the average ticket.

Change one section only, leave it for two weeks, then compare the view report and the average ticket before and after. Change everything at once and you will not know the cause. Small repeated changes get you to a good menu faster than a full redesign.

How to measure the result

  • Put your best sellers section at the top, not the bottom.
  • Keep the first section at four to six items; more than that tires the reader.
  • If you have an offer, give it its own banner rather than burying it among items.
  • Keep occasion-only sections at the end.

The first thing we did was move burgers above starters. The average ticket rose 11% in two weeks without changing a single price.
